During a recent event in Bacolod City, Department of Education (DepEd) Assistant Schools Division Superintendent for Bacolod City Michell Acuyong warned against ignoring environmental issues.
He said communities are currently suffering from environmental problems inherited from past generations, which have led to calamities. The DepEd official warned, if action is not taken, “greater disorder” will likely follow.
Acuyong believes vigorous climate change campaigns are necessary.
He added, the world is volatile and human ignorance and arrogance will only aggravate the situation./WDJ
