Residents have aired complaints about police failing to conduct random searches of those carrying deadly weapons. Police seem to be waiting for somebody to be stabbed or shot – it is a common belief that police often wait for something to happen before taking action.
Just like during the election period, this is a time for police to enact security programs; although, once the election is over, nothing much takes place with regard to security measures. Particularly during lulls, police should be conducting random inspections.
Local residents dream of a police force and government that anticipates unfortunate scenarios, instead of one waiting for criminal activity to take place.
