Philippines remains winless

The Negros First Softball Team remains winless after losing their third game in the ongoing 2018 Little League Softball World Series in Portland, Oregon in the United States.

The Negrense side, representing the Asia-Pacific region, lost to Eastbank Little League from River Ridge, Louisiana, representing the Southwest region, 4-3.

The American team opened the first inning with four runs. The Negros Occidental-based outfit responded with three runs between the fourth and fifth innings, courtesy of April Ann Mongcal, Anna Leah Dolorfino, and Jhaycel Roldan, but it was not enough to overcome to early deficit.

Negros First next faces Cuauhtemoc Little League of Monterrey, Mexico, representing the Latin America region./JSG, WDJ
