Sprint 4t Racer beats Ultron Touring

No. 4 Sprint 4t Racer secured the rights to face Ultron Extra in the finals of the 36 and above division of Fil-Sino Petron Cup 2018 after an 82-78 triumph over then top seed Ultron Touring in the rubber match semifinals at Bacolod Tay Tung gym.

It was a down the wire finish in regulation time as Efraim Valencia nailed a triple with less than a minute left in the game to give Ultron Touring a 74-73 lead.

But, Ritche Militante saved the day for Sprint Racer on a split free-throw after he was fouled on a putback which forced the extra time, 74-all.

Militante paced Sprint 4t Racer with  20 points as Kendrick Deloria shot 10 points and Michael Ang made 7 markers..

Valencia, meanwhile, finished with 19 points in losing effort as Leo Bat-Og added 13 points while Chibon Uy and Lito Dumdum delivered 9 points apiece./JSG,  WDJ
