Former Philippine Basketball League player Rudy ‘The Destroyer’ Distrito and uncle to Bacolod City Councilor Caesar Distrito was recently appointed deputy commissioner of security for the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL), launched last year by Senator Manny Pacquaio.

According to MPBL Commissioner Kenneth Duremdes, Distrito will be responsible for maintaining peace and security during games, along with managing crowd control.

The ongoing 2018 MPBL Datu Cup opened back in June./WDJ
