Negros First picks up two more wins

The Negros First Softball Team picked up two more wins in the ongoing 2018 Junior League Softball World Series in Kirkland, Washington in the United States.
They demolished the Ponoka Little League from Canada, 15-0; while narrowly getting past the Poland Community Little League of Poland, Ohio, 1-0.
The Negrense squad opened with five unanswered runs in the first inning, which set the pace for the four inning victory.
Ma. Victoria Magbanua picked three runs-batted-in (RBIs), followed by Shanayah Sion with two. Sion also made three hits in the game.
Meanwhile, pitcher Glecilyn Alipato, who led quality at-bats with three, also threw six strikeouts.
In their second game, facing the Poland Community Little League and representing the Central region, the Philippines scored one run in the fifth inning off a Mea Tubongbanua RBI.
The tournament now moves into crossover pool games, with the Negros First Softball Team in Pool B./JSG, WDJ
