Lacson: If you are not hiding anything, you should not be afraid

In response to the call for a lifestyle check on Negros Occidental provincial government employees, Negros Occidental Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson welcomed the request, noting, “If you are not hiding anything, you should not be afraid.”

He said members of the Provincial Board will submit their statements of assets, liabilities and net worth on time and release them to the media.

After Task Force Kasanag national commander John Chiong earlier requested the Office of the Ombudsman to conduct lifestyle checks on three provincial government department heads, acting Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator, Dr. Lucille Gelvolea, suggested they should all be reviewed.

“[They] should not only conduct it on a few department heads but all of us,” she suggested via text message. “Why not also include other employees as well?”
