Talisay City Police Station traffic investigators yesterday released their findings on the multiple-vehicle pile up that took place along the Bacolod-Silay Airport access road last Tuesday and found the driver of the Ford SUV, identified as Gian Carlo Ayalin, responsible for the crash that left several injured, including seven in critical condition.

Investigators confirmed Ayalin miscalculated his speed and distance when attempting to overtake a truck driven by 56-year-old Leonilo Milabo.

Authorities say Ayalin tried to stop his vehicle, but lost control and started spinning. He eventually hit the truck he was trying to overtake and a multicab driven by Harold Angat.

Two other SUVs were also involved in the crash.
