Two people were injured after their motorcycle accidentally fell into a gutter yesterday morning in Barangay Linao, Kabankalan City.
Police identified the injured as 26-year-old Lorena Poro, a resident of Ilog; and 50-year-old Erik Badillo, the operator of the motorcycle and resident of Barangay Magballo in the said city.
Based on a statement by the victims to Kabankalan City police traffic investigators, while attempting to overtake a tricycle, a truck drove besides the motorcycle, wherein Badillo tried to evade the other vehicle out of fear of a collision but instead lost his balance and fell into the gutter.
Local residents offered assistance following the incident and transported them to the Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital for treatment./DGB, WDJ
