Six Negrense scholars to study in Australia

The six Negros Occidental Scholarship Program scholars scheduled to study at the International College of Advanced Education in Darwin, Australia yesterday paid a courtesy visit on Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. at the Governor’s Office.
The group is comprised of Demy Grace Lauron, Mary Mae Joy Marcial, and Duane Ruiz of Murcia; Justin Charles De La Paz of Victorias City; Nancy Mansinares of Sagay City; and Joery Rio of Talisay City.
While in Australia, the scholars will be studying hospitality management and commercial cookery.
Philippine Honorary Consul General Januario Rivas was also present and offered tips to the Australia-bound students./WDJ
