Twenty five Education and Training Center School-I (ETCS-I) students are in “safe condition” after falling ill from a spilled bottle of varnish yesterday morning.

ETCS-I Principal Pedro Casipe said the incident occurred during an experiment by a student, wherein the bottle accidentally fell to the ground.

The fumes from the varnish affected 25 students, who were immediately brought to the school’s clinic.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office also responded to the incident and administered first aid.

School officials have temporarily suspend classes in the affected classroom./DGB, WDJ
