The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) yesterday offered clarification regarding the reassignment of three police chiefs, who were earlier relieved by Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6).

NOPPO spokesperson, Police Senior Inspector Aireen Cordua, said only Candoni municipal police chief, Police Senior Inspector Celjun Nemenio, and Sagay City police chief, Police Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto, returned to their posts. Meanwhile, Don Salvador Benedicto municipal police chief, Police Senior Inspector Jovito Bose; Moises Padilla municipal police chief, Police Chief Inspector Joshua Villasis; and Police Chief Inspector Alan Gary Resuma of the Isabela Municipal Police Station were transferred out of the province.

Earlier this week, PRO-6 relieved several Negros Occidental police chiefs due to their performance in the fight against illegal drugs.

However, NOPPO director, Police Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil, Jr., appealed to have some retained in the province./DGB, WDJ
