Three Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) police station chiefs may be relieved from duty due to poor performance.
In a press conference yesterday, BCPO director, Police Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, did not divulge the names of the police chiefs nor the stations where they are assigned.
However, he revealed the three stations were not able to meet the performance set by both the BCPO and the Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6), such as meeting the number of arrests against illegal drugs and illegal gambling suspects, and the lack of arrests against wanted individuals in their respective areas of operations.
Ebreo said the three were given until August 5 to improve their performance, otherwise PRO-6 would issue a relief order, wherein they would be reassigned to a police office outside Negros Occidental.
Earlier, PRO-6 ordered the relief of several ranking police officials under the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, who were transferred to police offices in Panay.
