The remains of the 25-year-old man who earlier went missing after being swept away in Barangay Tabunan, Bago City was recovered late Tuesday afternoon.

Bago City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office head Mereijene Ortizo said the remains of Arjay Estillo were recovered at Purok Balulan in the said barangay.

Ortizo said, based on investigations by local authorities, Estillo, along with five others, went fishing on the day the victim went missing.

The men commenced with fishing despite the bad weather.

Investigators believe Estillo may have lost his footing and fell into a river before getting swept away by the strong current./DGB, WDJ
