Two people were wounded following two separate Bacolod City mauling incidents last Monday in Barangay 14 and in front of the Negros Occidental National High School (NOHS).

Police identified the victims as 18-year-old Rojie Flores, a resident of Barangay 14; and 20-year-old Patrick Melecio, a resident of Barangay Mandalagan.

The first incident occurred around 2:10 pm. Flores was walking by Yulo’s Park when he was assaulted by a certain Bingo Barbosa.

He sustained an injury after he was punched in the back of his head.

Reportedly traumatized by the incident, he visited Police Station 1 to report the encounter immediately after receiving medical attention.

Police are still looking for Barbosa.

Meanwhile, around 6:45 p.m., Melecio was walking in front of NOHS when he was attacked by an unidentified suspect.

The suspect allegedly punched him at the base of his head.

Bystanders rushed Melecio to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment.
