Negrense junior league team leaves for Washington tomorrow

The Negros Occidental junior league softball team will be leaving tomorrow, July 26, for the Junior League Softball World Series, which takes place from July 29 to August 5 in Kirkland, Washington in the United States.
The team is playing under the name Bacolod City West Little League and will be representing the Asia-Pacific region.
They will be competing against various teams from the United States and Canada, along with Emilia Romagna Little League of Bologna, Italy representing the Europe-Africa region and Coamo Little League of Coamo, Puerto Rico representing Latin America.
The team roster includes Glecilyn Alipato and Rhea Mae Quilong Quilong of Bacolod City; Angelica Cordero and Ma. Victoria Magbanua of Talisay City; Shanayah Sion and Joecel Mae Cabato of Moises Padilla; Mea Tubongbanua and Josiemers Maguad of Candoni; Lyka Angeline Silverio of Silay City; Rodalyn Villanueva of La Carlota City; and Elemar Olarte, Rodlyn Felizardo, and Angela Solidarios of Murcia.
The Negrense squad’s first game is at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 29 (US time), against Keystone/West Tampa/Bayshore Little League of Tampa, Florida./JSG, WDJ
