PRO-6 relieves 5 Negros Occidental police chiefs

The Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) ordered the relief of five Negros Occidental police chiefs over the weekend.

Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) spokesperson, Police Senior Inspector Aireen Cordua, identified four of the officials as Candoni municipal police chief, Police Senior Inspector Celjun Nemenio; Don Salvador Benedicto municipal police chief, Police Senior Inspector Jovito Bose; Moises Padilla municipal police chief, Police Chief Inspector Joshua Villasis; and Sagay City police chief, Police Chief Inspector Robert Mansueto.

In addition, Isabela municipal police chief, Police Chief Inspector Alan Gary Resuma, was relieved 24 hours after taking over for relieved Police Chief Inspector Reuben Pajarito.

Based on information provided by PRO-6, the five officers were removed due to performance in the campaign against illegal drugs in their respective localities.

Cordua, meanwhile, stated the five will be reassigned to the Antique Police Provincial Office effective today.

She added, replacements will be discussed today in a meeting of top officials from PRO-6 and NOPPO./DGB, WDJ
