The Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Bacolod City yesterday announced they will be holding satellite registration in various Bacolod City barangays every Saturday in preparation for the upcoming 2019 midterm elections.

Comelec-Bacolod elections supervisor, Atty. Mavil Majarucon-Sia, said satellite registration begins tomorrow, July 21, in Barangay Estefania; followed by Barangay Granada next Saturday.

The Comelec will also hold registrations in Barangays Felisa, Handumanan, Bata, Taculing, and Vista Alegre in August.

In September, they will visit Barangays Alangilan and Cabug.

Majarucon-Sia reiterated an appeal to public, requesting they register early in order to avoid the long lines as the last day of registrations is September 29.

Registration at the local Comelec office takes place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Saturday, including holidays./DGB, WDJ
