A 20-year-old man was brought to a hospital in Bacolod City over the weekend after he accidentally shot himself at Purok Sibucao in the city’s Barangay Banago.

Police identified the victim as Elbert Perondo, a resident of the said area.

A Police Station 3 (PS3) report said Perondo was holding a .22 caliber pistol, which was being sold to him by a friend.

However, as Perondo was examining the firearm, the pistol accidentally discharged.

Perondo was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound to the hand.
