Candidate for Negros Occidental Liga ng mga Barangay (Liga) president, Barangay 9 Captain Jovie Pepillo of Victorias City, recently vowed to be “the voice of the barangays.”

“I will ensure that the voice of the barangays will be heard in the Capitol,” she proclaimed.

Pepillo also laid out her platform if she wins, which includes an advocacy intensifying anti-illegal drugs awareness and to implement programs introduced by Negros Occidental third district Rep. Alfredo Benitez across the province.

The Victorias City official will face incumbent Provincial Liga President Anabelle Bermudo of La Carlota City in an election on July 30./DGB, WDJ
