A street-level drug personality was arrested after Talisay City Police Station anti-drug operatives conducted a buy-bust operation Monday afternoon at the city’s Zone 2 in Barangay Concepcion.

Police identified the suspect as 55-year-old Noel Malan, a resident of the said area.

Talisay City police chief, Police Superintendent Adonis Rosales, said Malan is a newly-identified drug suspect in the area and was a subject of surveillance for two weeks.

Police recovered a total of two big, 13 medium, and one small sachet of suspected shabu, worth P30,000; along with drug paraphernalia, suspected drug money amounting to P670, and a mobile phone.

Malan faces charges in violation of Sections 5, 12, and 11 of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./DGB, WDJ
