With the softball team comprised of Education and Training Center School I students qualifying for the Little League Softball World Series, which will take place from August 8 to 15 in Portland, Oregon in the United States, coach Lizvi Jalandoni said they are looking to improve their performance from last year, where they exited the tournament after four games.
“We have to double our efforts since we [have] already seen the quality of opponents we have,” she said. “Our edge this year is that we have five World Series players.”
“They already have the skills,” Jalandoni added.
Meanwhile, the team comprised of Domingo Lacson National High School students qualified for the Junior League Softball World Series, which will take place from July 29 to August 25 in Kirkland, Washington, also in the US.
Last year, they lost in the finals of the 2017 Senior League Softball World Series./JSG, WDJ
