A drunk man was arrested by Cadiz City police last Sunday after he allegedly discharged his firearm at Purok Cabugwason, Barangay Zone 3 in the said city.

Police identified the suspect as 45-year-old Ernesto Joquiño, a resident of the said area.

Cadiz City police said, around 1:00 a.m., a bar owner, identified as Jorly Estrilla, contacted their station reporting Joquiño discharging his firearm in the area.

Cops immediately responded and arrested Joquiño on the spot.

Police recovered a .45 caliber M1911 pistol from the suspect, one .45 caliber magazine, three live bullets, and two empty .45 caliber cartridges.

Joquiño faces illegal possession of firearms and ammunition charges and he is presently detained at the Cadiz City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
