A gun-wielding man was arrested by Police Station 2 intelligence operatives late Friday evening at Purok Narra Baybay in Barangay 8, Bacolod City.

Police identified the suspect as 22-year-old Ricky Alegayda, a resident of Barangay 22.

PS2 personnel said, around 11:45 p.m., while conducting a monitoring operation, they spotted a suspicious looking man, later identified as Alegayda, with a notable bulge on his side.

When Alegayda passed by, cops noticed the firearm handle protruding from the suspect’s shirt.

Police officers immediately arrested Alegayda and recovered an improvised .38 caliber firearm with two units of ammunition.
