A team comprised of college basketball players from the US is set to play a series of exhibition games in Bacolod City beginning tonight at STI-West Negros University.
The American team, with players from schools including the University of California-Berkeley and University of Notre Dame, will first face Negros Basketball Association President’s Cup champions Silvergraces/University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R). During the earlier tournament, the team competed as Red House Taiwan Shabu Shabu/UNO-R.
The following day, they will meet NOPSSCEA champions Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias; and on Saturday, July 14, they face STI-West Negros University.
The American team was organized by Embrace and Reach, a Christian nonprofit organization.
All games start at 6:00 p.m. and admission is free./JSG, WDJ
