The Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Ceneco) held their 42nd Annual General Membership Assembly over the weekend, which gathered over 20,000 member-consumer-owners across several venues, where raffle prizes, including motorcycles and household appliances, were given out.

A total of nine motorcycles, along with washing machines, rice cookers, and other household appliances, were distributed.

The assembly was held across the coverage area as events took place simultaneously at five different venues, with the main gathering at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School gym and covered court.

National Electrification Administration (NEA) Corporate Resources and Financial Services deputy administrator, Atty. Vicar Loureen G. Lofranco, served as keynote speaker. Lofranco spoke on behalf of NEA Administrator Edgardo R. Masongsong.

Ceneco Member-Consumers Integrated Services Division chief Roel Venus earlier noted discussion will focus on the conversion issue, where consumer-members decide if the co-op should operate as a non-stock, non-profit cooperative under the NEA; a stock cooperative under the Cooperative Development Authority; or a stock corporation under the Securities and Exchange Commission./WDJ
