Silay City police anti-drug operatives captured a high-value drug target last Tuesday following a buy-bust operation at Purok CKK in Barangay Guinhalaran of the said city.

Police identified the suspect as 43-year-old Levi Ganoyo, a resident of Purok Paghidaet in Barangay Mambulac, also of the said city.

Silay City police chief, Police Superintendent Noel Polines, said they arrested Ganoyo after he handed over one sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P17,500.

A search of the suspect yielded four big sachets of suspected shabu, a list of drug-related transactions, and P85 in suspected drug proceeds.

The overall market value of the illicit substance was estimated at P240,000.

Ganoyo was immediately detained at the Silay City Police Station and currently faces illegal drugs charges./DGB, WDJ
