During a recent Department of Energy (DOE) briefing in Bacolod City, DOE Chief Investment Specialist Lisa Go encouraged more energy-related businesses at the local level, saying it would “yield economic gains.”

DOE Assistant Secretary Robert B. Uy concurred and credited the national government for creating a “level playing field” for local stakeholders to get involved in the energy sector.

He also pointed out the government’s “Ambisyon 2040” plan, which seeks to provide secure and sustainable energy services.

Present for the event were representatives from local government units and electric cooperatives, along with prospective investors./WDJ
