Silay City Police Station anti-drug operatives recently arrested a newly-identified drug personality during a buy-bust operation at Antonio Luna Interior in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City.

Police identified the suspect as 44-year-old Darwin Abellar, a resident of the said area.

Silay City police chief, Police Superintendent Noel Polines, said Abellar was arrested after he handed one sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer.

A search further yielded nine more sachets of suspected shabu, with an estimated market value of P180,000; and drug paraphernalia.

Abellar is currently detained at the Silay City Police Station on drug-related charges./DGB, WDJ
