Iloilo City formally launched an official mobile app over the weekend, after developer CityServ turned over the technology to Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III during a ceremony last Sunday at the Ker and Co. Building.
“This is another milestone for Iloilo City,” said the mayor. “We can connect with other people and inform them of our services.”
Through the app, users can access jobs bulletin, acquire citizen ID cards, conduct business, discover Iloilo City, view moments, and browse news and events.
Local Economic and Investment Promotions Office head Ritchel Gavan also discussed the “citizen patrol” feature.
“In citizen patrol, people can take a picture of the emergency, then the Customer Care Center, which will man it, will forward this emergency situation to the proper office,” she explained. “It empowers people to help the city government bring its services to the people and respond to concerns immediately.”/WDJ
