A criminology student from Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental finished eighth in last month’s criminologist licensure examination.
Rigo Calvo Reas, 22, a resident of the city’s Barangay Sara-et, earned 88.35 percent.
Reas was a student at the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College of Fisheries-Binalbagan and previously worked as a security guard before taking the exam.
In a radio interview yesterday morning, Reas’ family said he took a break for six months prior to working as a security guard.
Reas, meanwhile, said it had been his dream to join the Philippine National Police, which served as his primary motivation in graduating cum laude./DGB, WDJ
