A fruit vendor at Bacolod City’s Central Market was stabbed late Sunday evening in what police believe was a result of jealousy.
Police identified the victim as 32-year-old Arlan Magracia, a resident of Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City.
Based on Magracia’s statement to Police Station 1 investigators, he was tending to his shop when he was approached by the suspect, identified only by the alias ‘Bacalangco,’ who stabbed him.
Magracia was immediately rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital for treatment after sustaining two stab wounds to his armpit and side.
Police are now conducting a manhunt operation against the suspect, who immediately fled after the stabbing./DGB, WDJ
