An anti-illegal drugs briefing was recently held for students at Handumanan National High School in Bacolod City, which included addresses by the school officials and police.
School Principal Richard Gelangre urged students to stay away from illegal drugs. He believes, by avoiding illegal drugs, students are showing love for themselves and assuring they will be able to reach their goals in the future.
The school official also voiced his support for the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs, led by President Rodrigo Duterte.
Police Officer 3 Feliciano Somugat discussed the consequences of drug dependency, saying, those addicted to drugs are prone to accidents, poor health, along with economic and legal problems.
He said most addicts were introduced to drugs by friends, commonly referred to as peer pressure./WDJ
