Two goals from midfielder OJ Porteria lifted Ceres-Negros FC past Stallion Laguna FC, 2-0, earlier this week at the Panaad Park and Stadium.

In the 33rd minute, Ceres midfielder Mike Ott was fouled in the box by Stallion midfielder Darwin Regala and earned a penalty, which Porteria successfully converted.

The two clubs went into halftime with the home side up, 1-0.

Porteria later earned his brace in the 84th minute.

“Every single person played well tonight,” said the midfielder, who was named Man of the Match. “I’m just very proud of the boys for bringing in a good shift.”
