Rogen Ladon of Bago City won silver in the President’s Cup, a boxing competition that took place in Astana, Kazakhstan earlier this month.

The Negrense fighter lost to Kazakh Anvar Muzaparov in the finals of the 52kg weight class.

This is the second time Ladon has been beaten by a Kazakh opponent, losing in last year’s AIBA World Championship to Zhomart Yerzhan via split decision.

Other Filipino athletes taking part in the competition included Charly Suarez, Caroline Calungsod, Ramel Macado, and Jorge Edusma; however, they failed to medal in their respective events./JSG, WDJ
