With Negros Occidental Governor Alfredo Marañon, Jr. on vacation this week, an executive order appointed Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson as acting governor from June 25 to 29.

In terms of the governor’s vacation plans, Lacson noted, “I have no idea where he will go or if he will actually leave the province.”

Meanwhile, Lacson said he was briefed by provincial agriculturist, Atty. Japhet Masculino, who serves as a member of the investigating team looking into the Negros First Animal Hub.

“As I said earlier, let us allow the governor to announce the result of the investigation,” the acting governor noted. “What is clear is that the fact-finding team has done its work.”

Last week, after Negros Occidental Assistant Provincial Legal Officer, Atty. Mary Ann Lamis, said the results of the investigation are “confidential and for the eyes of the governor,” Lacson stressed the information must be revealed to the public./DGB, WDJ
