The Iloilo City government recently announced expanded coverage under the “Pag-ulikid sang Syudad,” or Care Program, which provides free services, including medical and dental check-ups, for city barangay residents.
“We cannot do better without making sure first that the free services are available,” said Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III.
As of last weekend, the government entitlement program was made available for residents of Barangay Sto. Niño Norte in the Arevalo district and Barangay Oñate De Leon in the Mandurriao district.
“The city government has a big role to play when it comes to welfare of the community,” the mayor added./WDJ
