Negrense softball players leave for qualifiers tomorrow

Softball teams from Negros Occidental will leave tomorrow for Singapore, where they will compete in the 2018 Little League Softball World Series Asia-Pacific qualifiers.
Lizvi Jalandoni will be coaching he little league squad comprised of Mary Joy Alpitche, Anne Frensbelle Patricio, April Ann Mongcal, Anna Leah Dolorfino, Magdalene Nangan, Laira Dianne Silverio, Kenchie Tan, Angel Zyra Motin, Christine Segovia, Trisha Karyl Hicayen, Kyle Marie Matarong, Anne Rose Macatbag, and Jhaycel Roldan; while Roselle Hulleza will be coaching the junior league squad comprised of Glecilyn Alipato, Rhea Mae Quilong-quilong, Rodlyn Felizardo, Elemar Olarte, Angela Solidarios, Rodalyn Villanueva, Lyka Angeline Silverio, Shanayah Sion, Joecel Mae Cabato, Angelica Cordero, Ma. Victoria Magbanua, Josiemers Maguad, and Mea Tubongbanua.
Last year, after winning in Singapore, the Bacolod City Little League softball team, composed of Domingo Lacson National High School students, took second place at the 2017 Senior League Softball World Series, falling in the finals, 4-0, to host team Delaware-District 3 at the Bruce Layton Field in Lower Sussex, Delaware in the United States.
Meanwhile, Education and Training Center School III students comprised the Bacolod City West Little League team, which competed in the 2017 Little League Softball World Series in Portland, Oregon in the United States. The team exited the tournament after four games./JSG, WDJ
