The Commission on Elections (Comelec) announced voter registration would resume next month in preparation for the 2019 midterm elections.
In a statement forwarded by Comelec Education and Information Department Director James Jimenez, voter registration will be conducted from July 2 until September 29.
He explained, it is the duty of the Comelec to conduct regular voter registrations in order to encourage and enlist qualified voters nationwide.
Jimenez said applications for new registration, transfers, transfers with reactivation, reactivation, correction of entry, and inclusion or reinstatement of records on the list of voters will be accepted.
He added, applications will be personally filed with the Office of the Election Officer in every city, town, or district where applicants reside and would take place from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. from Monday to Saturday, including holidays.
Satellite registrations is also being organized by the Comelec during the said period./DGB, WDJ
