Ceres-Negros FC defeated JPV Marikina FC, 4-1, in their recent Philippines Football League (PFL) match at the Panaad Park and Stadium.

The home side got to a quick start with midfielders Mike Ott and Stephan Schröck scoring in the 7th and 8th minutes, respectively. However, just under 10 minutes later, JPV midfielder Keigo Moriyasu pulled one back.

Just before halftime, Ceres striker Patrick Reichelt extended the lead back to a two-goal difference, putting the club up 3-1.

Just before the second half, an altercation between JPV coach Dan Padernal and Ceres midfielder OJ Porteria resulted in both being ejected from the match.

However, despite being down to 10, Schröck earned a brace in the 54th minute, giving the home side a 4-1 advantage.

“It’s not easy playing with one player less,” said Ceres coach Risto Vidaković. “The players did everything they [could]; however, I don’t know how long we can do that.”

For JPV Assistant Coach Frank Muescan, their team is expected to get back strong on their next away game against Ceres FC tomorrow.
