The primary suspect in the recent murder of 37-year-old Marlo Sixto in Barangay Taloc, Bago City was captured after cops tracked down their location late Tuesday night at Relocation Site in Barangay Lag-asan of the said city.

Police identified the suspect as 46-year-old Frank Alvarez, a resident of the said area.

Bago City deputy police chief, Police Senior Inspector Hercules Trigue, said the woman, whom they have requested not to be identified and was reported to be Sixto’s companion in the incident, claimed she had no idea the victim was in the jeepney as she was sitting on an extension chair that was facing the driver.

The woman said she was surprised when Sixto called her and told her to disembark with him. She, however, initially refused and Sixto shoved her out.

Trigue said the woman was temporarily held in police custody, where it was determined the motive behind the incident was based on a “love triangle.”

Alvarez, meanwhile, refused to be interviewed following his arrest and is still detained at the Bago City Police Station./DGB, WDJ
