Two Negrenses will be suiting up for National University this season with Gelina Luceño, formerly of Bacolod Tay Tung High School and St. John’s Institute, on the Lady Bulldogs roster; and Shaira Jardio, formerly of Talisay City’s Rafael B. Lacson Memorial High School, suiting up for the Lady Bullpups.
Luceño is said to be a replacement for Jaja Santiago, who led NU to back-to-back Shakey’s V-League Collegiate Conference titles.
She is one of two players from the Western Visayas, alongside Princess Robles.
Meanwhile, for Jardio, she expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming University Athletic Association of the Philippines season.
“I will just do my best,” she said. “, I will double my effort on receiving and on defense.”
Jardio will be playing alongside fellow Negrenses Princess Maicah Larroza and Jessa Ordiales./JSG, WDJ
