The 2018 Balik Eskwela Diskwento, a program conducted by the Guimaras Department of Trade and Industry providing discounts on school supplies, school bags, school shoes, umbrellas, plasticware, and ready-to-wear apparel for students ahead of the recent 2018/2019 academic year opening, revealed sales totaling P296,222.35.

The program ran from May 15 to 31 and served a total 993 consumers at 11 local business establishments.

Some participating outlets were also reportedly providing freebies to customers./WDJ
