A Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) operation targeting wanted individuals was carried out over the weekend, resulting in the arrest of at least six people.
Based on information provided by NOPPO yesterday, Rodem Berang-berang was arrested for qualified theft charges at Sitio Malabagyo in Barangay Palampas, San Carlos City.
This was followed by the arrest of 50-year-old Romeo Pacquiao in Escalante City. Pacquiao, wanted on attempted murder charges, was reported to be the eighth-most wanted in the city.
On Saturday afternoon, Kabankalan City police arrested 53-year-old Rodolfo Montero in the city’s Barangay Locotan on attempted murder charges.
Among other arrests included Florante Bigalot in Barangay Mambulac, Silay City on theft charges and Rally Teruel in Hacienda Bernardita in Barangay Caduha-an, Cadiz City on drug-related charges.
Meanwhile, La Castellana municipal police, alongside Bacolod City Police Station 6 operatives, arrested 23-year-old Fernando Lubas on murder charges./DGB, WDJ
