After Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence ‘Bong’ Go earlier accepted an invitation to serve as guest of honor for an event commemorating the signing of the Charter of the City of Bacolod, Presidential Assistant for the Visayas Michael Lloyd Dino will represent Go today, June 18, at the L’ Fisher Hotel.

“He plays an important role for the Visayas,” said Bacolod City Councilor Em Ang. “We look forward to hearing some good news from him with respect to future development in Bacolod and the province of Negros Occidental.”

Earlier, reacting to the news Go accepted the invitation, Ang said, “We are pleased and honored to have ‘Selfie King’ as our guest of honor.”

A mass at 8:00 a.m. will open the program, followed by messages from Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, and Bacolod City lone district Rep. Greg Gasataya.

An awarding ceremony will also take place.

Leonardia, Familiaran, Ang, among other city officials were sworn in as Sulong ang Pag-Unlad (SAP) Movement members in San Juan City last month. SAP is calling for Go to run for Senate in the upcoming 2019 midterm elections./WDJ
