The Department of Labor and Employment-Region VI (DOLE-6) recently distributed P2 million in livelihood assistance to 53 bamboo craftspeople from Barangay Buenavista, Murcia; along with 100 senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and farmers from Barangay San Isidro, EB Magalona.

According to DOLE-6 director, Atty. Johnson Cañete, Murcia is noted for its bamboo and P1 million in assistance will help beneficiaries with future projects.

Meanwhile, funding for the EB Magalona beneficiaries is intended for a rice trading and carabao raising project./WDJ
