At least P238,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated after Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Region VI (PDEA-6) agents conducted a Sunday buy-bust operation at Purok Sigay in Barangay 2, Bacolod City.

PDEA agents identified the arrested individuals as Ann Frances Yusay and Melanie Ramos, both residents of the said area.

A PDEA agent who spoke on a condition of anonymity said they arrested the suspects when their operative managed to purchase one sachet of suspected shabu from them.

Law enforcement agents recovered a total eight sachets of suspected shabu, weighing around 35 grams; along with drug paraphernalia.

Yusay and Ramos are now detained at PS2 and face illegal drugs charges./DGB, WDJ
