Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) president, Atty. Clint Aranas, will serve as speaker and guest of honor for the Bacolod City Independence Day observance, tomorrow, June 12, at the Bacolod Public Plaza.

“We find his involvement very meaningful,” Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia said of Aranas.

Events will begin with a flag raising ceremony at the Bacolod Public Plaza at 6:30 a.m., followed by a wreath laying ceremony at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier.

Aranas is scheduled to address the event afterwards.

Meanwhile, a parade from the Sacred Heart Shrine to the Bacolod Public Plaza will commence at 1:00 p.m.

Also expected to attend the event include Bacolod City Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran, Bacolod lone district Rep. Greg Gasataya, among others./WDJ
