No illegal drugs were recovered after Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency personnel recently conducted a surprise prison shakedown at the Metro Bacolod District Jail (MBDJ) in Barangay Taculing.

During the shakedown, 40 MBDJ inmates and several prison guards, including jail warden, Chief Inspector Ruth Estales, underwent random drug testing.

Last week, a total of 15 jail officers and 47 prisoners of the MBDJ female facility in Barangay Handumanan tested negative following surprise drug testing./DGB, WDJ
