NOPPO backs intensified policies to instill discipline

During the official Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) turnover of command earlier this week, newly-appointed PRO-6 commander, Police Chief Superintendent John Bulalacao, said he wants a more disciplined police force.

He vowed, within his first month, more monitoring of police officers will be implemented in order to instill more discipline among local law enforcement.

Bulalacao noted, the campaign against erring police officers will be intensified.

The PRO-6 chief added, beyond illegal drugs, police officers are also prohibited from participating in gambling activity, smoking while in uniform, texting while on duty, among other activities.

Meanwhile, Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) director, Police Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil, Jr., expressed support for the plan.

In a radio interview yesterday morning, Castil stated the said policies would be implemented among the provincial police force, noting he would have “no second thoughts” when it comes to reporting erring officers to Bulalacao.

He also urged the public to report both erring cops and those who have done good for their communities.

Bulalacao replaced Police Chief Superintendent Cesar Hawthorne Binag, who was reassigned to lead the Philippine National Police Directorate for Information and Communication Technology Management./DGB, WDJ
